Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU), commonly known as Florida A&M, is a public historically black land-grant university located in Tallahassee, Florida. Founded in 1887, FAMU is the third largest historically black university in the United States by enrollment and the only public historically black university in Florida. The university offers 54 bachelor's degrees, 29 master's degrees, one professional degree, and 12 doctoral degrees across 14 schools and colleges.
