The Diagnostic Medical Sonography program at Galveston College is a five-semester program culminating in an Associate of Applied Science degree. It aims to produce competent entry-level sonographers with skills in abdomen-extended and obstetrics & gynecology concentrations, through a mix of classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and clinical rotations in health care facilities. Graduates are prepared to become multicredentialed sonographers eligible for ARRT-Sonography registry.
