Joliet Junior College offers the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, which is a seven-semester, full-time day program. This program provides both theoretical and clinical instruction in sonography, preparing students to perform diagnostic sonographic examinations and assist physicians in reaching diagnostic decisions. Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, it is one of only two CAAHEP-accredited community college programs in Illinois with specializations in Abdomen-Extended, OB/GYN, and Vascular Sonography.
