The Medical Assistant Program at Medical Career College provides students with essential skills in medical office procedures, customer service, and administrative tasks. The program includes training in physical examinations, laboratory skills, medical charting, appointment scheduling, bookkeeping, insurance billing, and coding. To enroll, students need a High School Diploma or GED, pass the Wonderlic Entrance Test with a minimum score of 16, demonstrate Math proficiency, be at least 17 years old with parental consent, hold a B.L.S. certification, provide valid identification and Social Security Card, and meet health requirements. The program offers two schedules: a 6-month morning class from 8:30am to 3:00pm Monday to Friday, and a 7-month evening class with theory sessions from 3:30pm to 8:45pm and clinical sessions from 8:30am to 1:45pm.
