About Metropolitan Community College

Metropolitan Community College (MCC) is a public institution of higher learning with a rich history dating back to 1915 as the Kansas City Polytechnic Institute, making it the oldest public college in Kansas City, Missouri. 

With four physical campuses in Kansas City, Independence, and Lee's Summit, as well as the online campus, MCC serves a diverse community of learners, including those in the suburban school districts of Belton, Center, Grandview, Hickman Mills, Lee's Summit, North Kansas City, and Raytown.
