The Medical Assisting program at Middlesex Community College aims to prepare competent entry-level Medical Assistants by focusing on cognitive, psychomotor, and affective learning domains. Students are taught through lectures, visual aids, assessments, and externships to master core content. Emphasis is placed on developing professional behavior and communication skills through scenarios to simulate real-world workplace situations. Hands-on skills are honed in a laboratory setting before students engage in externships to ensure their readiness as entry-level medical assistants.

Key Skills Taught:
- Cognitive Domain: Knowledge acquisition through lectures, visual aids, and assessments.
- Affective Domain: Development of professional behavior and communication skills through scenarios.
- Psychomotor Domain: Hands-on skill practice in a laboratory setting to verify competency.
