The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Degree at Harper College prepares students for a career as a diagnostic medical sonographer, who uses ultrasound equipment to capture images of internal body structures. The program includes instruction in abdomen and obstetrics/gynecology sonography, along with vascular sonography, and provides clinical experience in a hospital setting. Graduates are prepared to secure their American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography credentials and work in various health care environments.
