About Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College

Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College (A-B Tech) is a public community college located in Asheville, North Carolina. Established in 1959, it is one of the oldest institutions in the North Carolina Community College System and serves Buncombe and Madison counties. 

With a student-faculty ratio of 14-to-1, A-B Tech offers an associate degree and has an open admissions policy. The college has a total enrollment of 6,601 students, with a diverse student body consisting of various races and ethnicities.
